Energy efficiency and demand response are both high priorities for LonMark International as well as for its members, and this alliance is the first step in embracing that priority. Creating demand-response functional profiles within the LonMark Utility Task Group, in concert with the LonMark Building Automation Task Group, will allow for facilities and residences to take advantage of the energy-curtailment offerings of utilities like Constellation Energy. The Alliance provides the framework for bridging the communications gap between buildings systems and the energy that powers them.
