Many of you knew Al Mouton from the many years he spent working for Motorola as the LonWorks manager and most recently for LOYTEC. Al was a tremendous support to the LonWorks community, to LonMark, and to the industry. His outgoing personality and passion for what he did made him unique and well respected.

Al was active as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Assistant Finance Chairman for the local Pioneer District.  In 2002, the Scouts honored him with the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award for his “involvement in the development and implementation of scouting opportunities for youth from rural or low-income urban backgrounds.”

Ever active Al also did electronic consulting, design, and business planning at AGM System; and in his free time, ran the Blue Heron Inn Bed & Breakfast with his wife, Janice.

Al’s legacy lives on through his wife and the families of his four boys: Ben & Rachel, Joshua, Adam & Julie, and Jonathan & Amanda.

For us in the LON community, we’ll miss Al and his joyous enthusiasm, and we extend our warmest thoughts of condolence to his family.
